CEO, Florida Thoroughbred Breeders’ and Owners’ Association based in Ocala. Responsibilities include leading the strategic, policy, political, economic, promotional, media and industry/public relations interests of Florida breeders and owners of Florida-bred thoroughbreds and Florida thoroughbred farms.
1982 UA RTIP Graduate, RTIP Director 1986-1990, Advisory Council Co-Founder in 1982 and has attended 41 out of a possible 43 symposiums.
In 2022, received the dual honors of being presented the American Horse Council’s Van Ness Award for his advocacy and positive impact on horses of all breeds and disciplines in numerous states; and the Florida Society of Association Executives Executive of the Year where he recently served as Chairman of the Board. Received the Distinguished Service, President’s Club and John K. Goodman Outstanding Alumni Awards.
Previous positions include CEO, President or EVP/COO at Santa Anita, Longacres, Turf Paradise and Multnomah Greyhound Park; President Racing Commissioners International and as an agency head and administrative law judge for the State of Arizona as part of the Governor Brewer administration.
