Global Symposium on Racing Speaker: Frank Taylor
Frank Taylor is a second-generation leader in the Thoroughbred industry and a driving force behind Taylor Made Sales Agency, one of the world’s most successful and influential Thoroughbred consignors. Under the leadership of Frank and his brothers, Taylor Made has surpassed $2 billion in total public-auction sales and will celebrate its 50th year of operation in 2026, a testament to its enduring excellence, innovation, and trusted horsemanship.
A significant part of Taylor Made’s legacy is its long and successful history of stallion management. Frank and his brothers have played key roles in guiding the careers of several major commercial and breed-shaping sires, including Saint Ballado, Unbridled’s Song, and now the top-class stallion Not This Time.
Frank and his family openly credit all their success to the grace of God, and faith plays a central role in every decision and action they take—both personally and professionally. This deep spiritual foundation guides Frank’s leadership, his relationships, and his commitment to service.
Frank’s dedication to helping others is lived out in profound and meaningful ways. In 2023, he was named Kentucky Thoroughbred Farm Manager of the Year, an honor especially meaningful because it had previously been awarded to his father, Joe Taylor. His belief in the healing and transformative power of horses led him to co-found the Taylor Made School of Horsemanship and Stable Recovery, two groundbreaking programs that help individuals in addiction treatment build meaningful, long-lasting sobriety through equine-centered work and mentorship.
Stable Recovery has already achieved remarkable impact, with over 100 men completing the program, a 70% success rate among those who reach 90 days of sobriety, and more than 1,600 family members reunited through its graduates restored lives. Frank’s leadership in these efforts earned him a Special Eclipse Award, recognizing his contributions to human and equine welfare.
Frank has been happily married to his wife, Kim, for 41 years. Together they have raised five children and enjoy three grandchildren. Their son Joe is a proud graduate of the University of Arizona Race Track Industry Program, carrying forward the family’s legacy in the Thoroughbred industry.
With a career marked by innovation, stewardship, faith, and a profound belief in the power of horses to change lives, Frank Taylor stands as one of the Thoroughbred industry’s most respected and inspiring figures.
