Global Symposium on Racing Speaker: Delaina Stenchever
Delaina Stenchever is the Broadcast Analyst and Media Manager at Turf Paradise, where she serves as the primary on-air paddock and racing analyst during live broadcasts, providing pre-race, post-race, and feature commentary while contributing to the track’s digital storytelling and fan engagement efforts. Stenchever’s passion for horse racing began at an early age through family trips to Emerald Downs in Auburn, Washington. Those early experiences included visiting the Turf Club and watching morning workouts on the backside, further fueling her interest in the sport and the people behind it. Stenchever graduated from the University of Arizona in 2022 with a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, with minors in Sports Management and Biology. While at Arizona, she gained her first professional racing experience at Rillito Park in Tucson, assisting in the production of the simulcast feed, providing paddock analysis, handicapping race cards, and conducting interviews with horsemen and students. After graduation, she worked at Del Mar Thoroughbred Club in the Press Box, continuing to pursue her love of storytelling and expanding her knowledge of the sport. Before joining Turf Paradise, Stenchever spent three years with FanDuel TV, working in production and building her on-air experience at Southern California tracks including Santa Anita Park, Del Mar Thoroughbred Club, and Los Alamitos. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Sports Management from Louisiana State University.
