Shuran Wright serves as Manager of Business Analytics and Development for the Thoroughbred Racing Protective Bureau (TRPB), where she leads initiatives to enhance data integrity, system modernization, and operational transparency across North America’s pari-mutuel wagering landscape. Her work focuses on strengthening the security and reliability of racing data systems through emerging technologies, advanced analytics, and strategic collaboration between tote companies, regulators, and racing stakeholders.
With nearly two decades of experience in wagering operations and technology, Wright has held leadership roles across the data, operations, and compliance spectrum. Before joining TRPB, she served as Chief of Operations at CHRIMS Inc., where she oversaw multi-departmental operations, implemented Agile project management frameworks, and coordinated software development across domestic and international teams. Her earlier roles in data operations, project management, and client onboarding gave her a deep understanding of the full wagering data lifecycle from point of capture through reconciliation and reporting. At TRPB, Wright has been instrumental in advancing secure, cloud-based reporting environments and optimizing systems that safeguard the integrity of handle data. She has leveraged platforms such as AWS QuickSight, SQL Server, and Python automation to streamline monitoring and auditing processes, helping to ensure regulatory compliance and bettor confidence.
Her expertise spans SCRUM/Agile methodologies, parimutuel distributions, data security frameworks, and cross-functional project leadership.
