Sally, a highly passionate advocate for both human and equine well-being, holds a BS in Human Development and Family Studies and an MA in Professional Counseling along with certifications as an equine specialist and mental health professional in ARCH (the therapeutic framework used at Abijah’s). With over 20 years of experience in the mental health field, she has worked with diverse populations, including struggling youth, adult violent offenders, and her beloved communities of first responders, military personnel, and the horse racetrack community. As the Canterbury Park Chaplain and an Exercise Rider, Sally possesses a unique blend of academic knowledge, professional experience, and deep personal connection to the horse racing world. Her vision is to utilize off-track thoroughbreds in experiential programs, bringing “Abijah’s” to racetracks nationwide to elevate the sport, foster human-horse connection, and showcase the incredible potential of these magnificent animals.
