Global Symposium on Racing Speaker: Maurice Timmermans
Over the last decade Maurice Timmermans has been working together with MYLAPS in various roles; digitalizing and automating sports with hardware products such as Transponders and GPS and Software applications. MYLAPS technology has been rolled out in over 25 countries.
Before entering the thoroughbred industry Timmermans worked in the role of Global Commercial Director of MYLAPS active sports. Here he saw the potential in horse racing for the first time. Timmermans has had the luxury to work with clients such as Formula 1, MotoGP, UCI, ISU, World Athletics, IRONMAN, Tour de France, Nascar, Indycar, US Cycling, Boston Marathon, Swiss Timing, Seiko and more.
Maurice Timmermans is currently Head of Equine Technology at MYLAPS and is aiming to bring the thoroughbred sport/industry to the next level, implementing best practices from a wide variety of sports and regions.
