Global Symposium on Racing Speaker: Joshua Christian
Joshua Christian serves as Vice President of Racing & Nominations for Breeders’ Cup Limited, where he plays a central role in managing the racing operations for one of the most prestigious events in international thoroughbred racing. With more than 20 years of industry experience, Christian has been instrumental in expanding the Breeders’ Cup’s global reach and reinforcing its reputation as the pinnacle of racing excellence.
In his current position, Christian oversees the recruitment of world-class horses, trainers, and owners for the Breeders’ Cup World Championships. He directs the international Breeders’ Cup Challenge Series and manages relationships with racing officials, breeders, and industry consultants across multiple continents. Under his leadership, global participation in the Championships has more than doubled since 2013, establishing the Breeders’ Cup as the most globally represented event in the sport.
A graduate of the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science (Equine Option), Christian also holds a Breeding Course Certificate from the Irish National Stud in County Kildare, Ireland, where he received the 2004 Breeding Project Award.
