Steve Crist, Andy Beyer, and Jay Privman to be featured in Racing’s Legendary Turf Writers Panel

Registration is open for the Global Symposium on Racing to be held December 4-6, 2023 at Loews Ventana Canyon Resort in Tucson, Az. Now in its 49th year, the Symposium is the world’s largest conference for racing industry professionals. Building on last year’s lively panel featuring Racing’s Legendary Announcers Tom Durkin and Dave Johnson, this year’s Symposium will feature Racing’s Legendary Turf Writers Steve Crist, Andy Beyer, and Jay Privman.

“We are honored to have Steve, Andy, and Jay speak at this year’s Symposium.” said Robert Hartman, Chair of the Race Track Industry Program. “The three Eclipse Award winners all believed the customer was king and advocated on behalf of horseplayer. They sought to educate and inform the public through books and articles, and Beyer Speed Figures have been a key tool for handicappers for the past 35 years.”

The panel will be moderated by longtime racing executive Charlie Hayward, former President & CEO of both NYRA and The Daily Racing Form.

A full agenda of Symposium topics and speakers will be released later this summer.

The Symposium offers a great opportunity to network with colleagues and interact with industry peers, all while supporting the University of Arizona Race Track Industry Program (RTIP). This year, all RTIP alumni will once again receive free Symposium registration. To register for the Symposium, visit RacingSymposium.com
