Mark has over 25 years of experience focused on marketing, technology and innovation in horse racing, having held executive positions with Churchill Downs Inc., Harrah’s and Youbet.com. Midland co-founded Horse Racing Nation (HRN) in 2009 and the site has grown into one of the industry's leading news sites with over 20 million visits annually. In recent years, the HRN team has been working to look at racing data in new ways and create proprietary data. This has led to a focus on machine learning and AI where the HRN team developed AI projects around horse safety, yearling sales predictions of price and performance and automated odds lines for morning lines and potential betting lines.

Mark enjoys playing the races and using HRN's data to come up with new products and new ways to enjoy horse racing.
