Jim Goodman

Jim Goodman is the Director of Wagering Development for Keeneland Association in Lexington, Kentucky. During Jim’s 19-year tenure at Keeneland, he has been responsible for all contracts for simulcasting Keeneland’s signal around the globe, the supervision of the Mutuel Clerk staff, the administration of the Programs department, and has served as a concierge for VIP customers. 

In addition, Jim hosts two of the premier live bankroll handicapping tournaments in the country, the Grade One Gamble in the Spring and the BCBC-NHC Challenge in the Fall. He also serves as the Compliance Officer for the Breeders’ Cup Betting Challenge and for the National Horseplayers Championship. 

Jim was inducted into the National Horseplayers Championship Hall of Fame in 2023, in recognition of his contributions to the growth of the NHC and his work at Keeneland. 

Jim lives in Lexington with his wife, Rebecca, very close to Keeneland and to his beloved granddaughter, Ella. He enjoys horse racing, golf, and following his Kentucky Wildcats.
