Jessica Hammond
Jessica Hammond is the Executive Director of the Beyond the Wire aftercare program in Maryland which is a position she’s held for over 5 years. She is employed by the Maryland Thoroughbred Horsemen’s Association and also holds the position of Counseling Administrator, assisting backstretch employees and Maryland Jockey Club employees with mental health needs. She graduated from Towson University with a degree in Psychology. Thoroughbreds are definitely a family affair for the Hammonds. Jessica and her husband Scott reside on a farm where they care for their 4 OTTB's and some lay-ups. Prior to this, they ran the family owned Somerset Racing where Scott functioned as the trainer and Jessica functioned as the CEO. Their son Luke currently works for Coolmore America. Hammond recently won the prestigious Godolphin Community Award for her dedication to the racing community and it’s horses.
