Beltran Montt

Beltran Montt, originally from Viña del Mar, is a prominent figure in the Chilean horse racing industry, with 39 years of continuous experience. He is married and a father of five children. He studied Commercial Engineering at the Catholic University of Valparaíso and earned an additional degree in Marketing from the University of Chile, thus strengthening his management and leadership skills. 

Since beginning his career in 1985 at Hipódromo Chile, Beltran has had various positions and stood out for his professionalism and strategic vision. After a decade of exemplary performance, he was promoted to Operations Manager by the Board of Directors. During his time there , he has led prestigious events such as the Latin American Grade 1 Stakes, which showcases the best horses from South America, consolidating Hipodrómo Chile as a center of thoroughbred excellence. Under his leadership, the racetrack has reached milestones in innovation, audience attraction, and has positioned itself as the main racecourse in Chile. 

Additionally, in the last four years, he has spearheaded the internationalization of Hipódromo's races, collaborating with overseas wagering operators, due to his fluency in English and extensive experience in the horse racing field. A notable achievement in his career is obtaining the ISO 9001-2015 certification, the only one in Chile and the first one in South America, granted by SGS and recognized by UKAS Management Systems in the United Kingdom. This certification ensures the safe and accurate extraction and collection of biological samples from horses, guaranteeing the absence of illegal substances and reflecting Beltran's and the institution's commitment to transparency and integrity. 

Moreover, Beltran represents Hipódromo Chile on the Superior Council of Horse Racing, which is under the Ministry of Economy and oversees regulatory compliance in the sector. His leadership and dedication have not only strengthened the reputation of Hipódromo Chile but also contributed to the development and professionalization of the horse racing industry in the country.
