Amy Zimmerman
Amy Zimmerman is the SVP & Executive Producer for Santa Anita Park since 2020, and a member of Santa Anita's staff since 1986. She also is a producer for NBC Sports’ horse racing coverage, including the Breeders’ Cup, a position she has held on every BC show since 1988 (including six years with ABC/ESPN), and Triple Crown races since 2001 (Belmont thru the end of NBC’s contract in 2022). Amy is a veteran of six Olympic games (2024-2016, 2008), producing such diverse sports as Equestrian, Curling and Gymnastics.
She has won 31 Eclipse Awards as Executive Producer, Producer or Associate Producer; three Sports Emmy Awards; 12 Regional Emmy Awards; four International Simulcast Awards and a Telly Award. Amy has been honored as Distinguished Citizen of the Year by Alpha Gamma Delta; the Old Hilltop Award for covering Thoroughbred racing with excellence and distinction; the Penny Chenery Distinguished Woman in Racing Award; and as an Outstanding Woman in California Thoroughbred Racing by the California State Legislature. She currently is on the Board of Directors of CARMA and was a VP of the Turf Publicists Association.
Concurrent with her position at Santa Anita, Amy also oversees the management of XBTV and HipicaTV, having previously been the Executive Producer & Senior Vice President, Production & Programming of HRTV from its inception in 2002 through the 2015 sale.
