Speaker Series: Eric Sindler, Chief Counsel for California Racing Operations, 1/ST Racing

Eric Sindler was the guest speaker for the Joe Hirsch Speaker Series on Wednesday, November 6.
Eric has been a lifelong fan of horse racing since he first attended Pimlico Racecourse with his father over 30 years ago. After graduating from law school, Eric wanted to turn his passion into his career. So, he returned to school to get his Master’s Degree from the Race Track Industry Program.
Eric is currently employed by 1/ST Aacing as the Chief Counsel for California Racing Operations. He deals with every legal aspect of racing including horsemen's agreements, regulatory issues, contracts, employees issues, litigations, and exclusions.
Eric told the class "As general counsel, the breadth of issues you face is staggering. You could be working with a dozen different departments from the racing office to security — and that’s all before lunch."
