Curtis Linnell, Executive V.P. of the Thoroughbred Racing Protective Bureau, was a guest lecturer in the RTIP classes Wednesday, April 3. He spent the time with the Advanced Racing Laws and Enforcement class explaining the evolution of the TRPB focusing on the current Wagering Analysis & Security Platform (WASP). He shared a few examples of how wagering security has advanced and the steps taken to thwart schemes.

In the Race Track Organization, Structure and Financial Management class, Curtis provided an in-depth look at the Tote and Technology currently powering today’s pari-mutuel wagering. He provided several examples of changes in the wagering environment today including the rise in Historic Horse Racing (HHR).
