Bryan Pettigrew brings more than 30 years of experience in entertainment and sports management & marketing and currently serves as the VP and GM of Texas Racing Operations for Penn Entertainment. In his role, Pettigrew is responsible for furthering Penn Entertainment’s well-established strategies for long-term growth and extending the company’s track record of exceptional execution and engagement. Bryan has been committed to changing the way organizations engage with their customers and has always been a proponent of enhancing technology in sports, attracting younger audiences to sports and entertainment.
GOLF / SPORTS WAGERING
Pettigrew worked for the PGA TOUR’s Barbasol Championship and Global Golf Management where he oversaw tournament operations in Kentucky and developed national sponsorships and sports wagering platforms and promotions for professional golf.
HORSERACING
As the Chief Marketing Officer for the Breeders’ Cup World Championships his team rebranded the 35-year-old world championships property and created a new exclusive brand of clothing known as Cheval. Bryan has worked with international governing bodies and corporations to build global business strategies encompassing sales, marketing, and event activations. He has also engaged and led many strategies to attract younger adults, innovation, and technology to the sport. He has been awarded numerous awards in advertising, marketing and on-site activations. Pettigrew has helped teams/properties increase their fan bases, engagement and drive new revenue streams through sponsorships, customer acquisition, sales, ticketing, merchandise, and wagering. He was also involved in the start-up management of the National Thoroughbred Racing Association (NTRA) and operational merger with Breeders’ Cup Limited. During his tenure he oversaw the creation of the most widely used equine loyalty and member benefits program, known as NTRA Advantage (Equine Discounts). These programs allowed Pettigrew to successfully create sponsorship programs that transcended the horse racing industry in U.S., Canada, South America, Dubai, United Kingdom, Ireland, and France. Pettigrew began his career at Remington Park (Oklahoma City) and Sam Houston Race Park (Houston). He has a degree in Communications from the University of Oklahoma and has been on several different industry and not-for-profit boards throughout his career.
